Rosin Entertainment is an indie visual novel development group. This group has created a short visual novel Pretty and is currently developing Starswirl Academy since 2012 with no set release date, but the demo is available for download. Both visual novels has and is being created with Ren'Py Visual Novel Engine. Rosin also has its development blog which uses Tumblr platform. Now, before continuing on to my first impressions, the main characters of Starswirl Academy is directly inspired by My Little Pony's Mane 6 (Main 6 pony characters). Is that a deal breaker? If that is fine with you, which is the case for me, then read on!

First Impression

They really did put their effort not just on the VN itself!

The main looks of this website is really clean. And upon discovering that Rosin is just an indie development with some influences from MLP fandom, I must say that this is actually well done for an indie group! On the right is the page for the Starswirl Academy visual novel. It is surprising how well designed the website is. But! There is one caveat, make sure your monitor horizontal resolution is at least 1280 or else the banner will be cut off abruptly. Also, the link to both the developer of this and Pretty visual novel webpage are dead.

The development blog of Rosin is also nicely designed, but of course it is not difficult as there's templates for Tumblr.
